Storm 3 – 1 Shamrocks
The Storm improved to 2-0 on the season with a 3-1 win over the expansion Shamrocks. Mitchell Jardine opened the scoring midway through the first for the Shamrocks but Brad Manley tied it up on a highlight reel goal moments later.
The Storm took an early lead in the second period on a goal by Evan Reyno and were unlucky not to add more on an extended 5-on-3 powerplay midway through the period.
James Giffin added the late third goal, while Storm goaltender Thayne Bezanson posted a solid outing between the pipes.

Royals 4 – 3 Whalers (SO)
The Royals let a 3-0 lead slip away late but were able to pick up the win in shootout, with Rookie Kyle Ervin scoring the winning goal.
Tim Bourque and Tim Sullivan gave the Royals a 2-0 lead in the first period, with Captain Jason Spares making it a 3-0 lead early in the second on a crafty short side goal.
Scott Fraser scored a short-handed goal minutes later and forward Fraser McOut cut the defect to one goal with his first goal of the season. Jake Bullen picked up his fourth goal of the season with just 1:17 left to send the game to a shootout.
Craig Langille and Sheldon Cruise scored for their teams in the shootout and Ervin added the winners as the Royals took a 4-3 win.

Generals 4 – 3 Mariners
Mitch Budden opened the scoring for the Mariners but a pair of Bob Sacre goals led the Generals to a 4-3 come from behind win.
Sacre opened the scoring for Generals and Matt Peters gave his team the 2-1 lead on a short-handed goal. Greg Sampson added the third but Budden would claw back a second goal for the Mariners.
Sacre added the fourth goal for the Generals, while the Mariners would add a third goal late on.

– A 2-goal performance led his Generals to their first win of the season and provided a high-light reel goal for the fans at home.
